Doesn't work that way on cable--just more of the same old crap. What makes
you think HD radio will be any different? It isn't the method of
transmission that is the problem, but rather that all the stations are
owned by a couple of really greedy companies that lack imagination, and
really don't have to work very hard for their dollars anyway, because there
is little competition. It's getting to the point where the most enjoybable
stations to listen to are the little 1 kilowatt Class 4 AM stations from
the small towns because they are too small potatoes for companies like
Clear Channel to care about.
For example, we have a small Class 4 station in Batavia, about 35 miles
from Rochester, and it is much more enjoyable to listen to than anything
that Rochester has to offer.
