Steve,

Right now, I don't even have a 6 meter antenna, but since the radio has 6
meters, I want that band in the tuner. I have an Ameratron *11-H, and
haven't had any problems with it. I'm not as worried about hurting the amp
as you might be since it's a tube amp, and tubes are a little more forgiving
than transistors. I read some reviews on the AT-1000Pro, and two out of
three were favorable. The one that was slightly less so (3 out of 5) was
actually the best review, and his issue was that the tuner couldn't get the
SWR all the way to 1:1. He also couldn't get his 160 meter dipole to tune
up on other bands, so he finally bought a Palstar for almost twice the
price. I can't justify spending nearly $1300 for a tuner, especially when
the radio itself doesn't cost that much.

Steve
