Hi Anthony,  I have not used a three band antenna but I have and am using a
2 meter and 70 cm antenna on my 70 cm repeater and I have had nothing but
good luck with it.  I have used it for about 12 to 15 years.  All ways had
good swr.  The thing that I have against the three band antennas is that you
do not have much gain out of them.  But I would think that everything else
would be fine for repeater use.
