I use an Icom 746 as my main HF rig, and love it! I know that I don't use
all of the functions on it, but it certainly seems user-friendly enough for
me as a totally blind op. I think I remember having to initially get some
sighted help to get the rig set up to my liking, but that was more because
of the fact that the mmanual wasn't in accessible form. I now do have the
manual on tape, and can tell you where to get it if you are interested.

I know that the 746 is not quite the same as the 746 Pro, but I think it's
close.

If you buy a 746, and need some help, let me know.

One more thing: I think you and I have an acquaintance in common. One of
the folks who works with me here at Ferris State University, and who also is
a ham, is going to be getting married to someone named Kyly. I think she's
a relative of yours from Colorado. The guy she is marrying is Tim
Stoecklein--KC0MDC. He's a member of our local club, and becoming a real
good friend.
