Hi Gary,

You say that you don't know of anyone who would pick blindness over sight. 

I guess it depends on how you define your terms. 

If I could pick to go back and be sighted my whole life, maybe I'd pick that. However, I would definitely not pick "going sighted", had I the opportunity to do so starting from now forward. It would be too much of a pain in the ass. You think blindness is a pain in the ass? Heh…I think sudden, untrained sightedness, or even latter-day trained sightedness, would be a bigger pain  in the ass.
