Hi Andy.

I'm sorry, but I can't improve much on what you've already got.  I have an 
MFJ993 auto tuner which has the ability to tune random wires, but frankly I 
doubt you would be happy with the workmanship.  Perhaps, the old manual 
tuners with something like the LDG Electronics TW1 talking meter is still 
the best way to go.
