Hi John and all,
Both XM and Serious are not getting close to meeting their subscriber goals 
and the vast influx of subscribers from Howard Stern's Serious venture were 
disappointing at best.  I don't think the two satellite broadcasting 
companies would be talking merger if they were making money.  What they want 
to do is cut expenses.The terrestrial broadcasters are also buying each 
other out to cut expenses.I think that the real problem is not satellite vs. 
terrestrial broadcasts, its simply that everyone has so many entertainment 
choices today.
