Hi,

I know of two different views about station grounding. The first says that
you need a single point ground centered at your home's electric grounding
point, usually a grounding rod.

The second theory says that you should have two separate grounds, one for
your electricity and the other for your station. This second group believes
that if you hook your station ground up to the electric ground, more
lightning will enter your station then if you leave them separated since
most lightning comes in via the power line.

I don't know which theory is correct, but my station is well grounded to a
single point ground and so far so good. I haven't used the electrical
ground because its just too far from my tower..
