Hi Phil,

A card reader allows you to read and write to the card via the pc. 
Usually the reader plugs into a usb port on the pc.

It's a lot faster to simply copy and paste files to the card via the 
reader than using the vr stream companion software.

When you plug a card into the reader and then plug it into the pc, the 
pc normally sees it as just another drive.

In most cases, no software drivers are required for the reader.
