both. to do the course through amateur radio nsw or, WIA, the cost for 
both the course, exam a dn the license is broken down thus. 50 bucks for 
the course, 61 bucks which the examiner sends off to the acma to have 
your paper processed and it's 23 bucks for the foundation license manual 
on cd.
and as much as I'd like to buy a decent radio with voice on it, 500 
bucks won't cut it over here. that's got to cover me for a radio, power 
supply, and antenna and possibly a vswr meter. so you see, one is in 
somewhat of a quandery
I'll send you the email I got back from the arnsw secretary a few months 
back when I first started asking questions.
