Hi Michael, not familiar with the 450, but have and thorroughly enjoy my 
Yaesu FT817ND.  Glad to talk with you at some time if you'd like.  There 
aren't many Yaesu Enthusiasts on the blind hams and blind ham ops lists, and 
Yaesu's accessibility or lack there of, is largely to blame.  But in terms 
of the lil 817ND at least, there's nothing out there that'll do what it will
