Oh, Alan, I understand.  ... And, I mean no disrespect to you or what you
said earlier.

It's just the nature of humans, I guess. ... That's why we have
psychologists, and sociologists like me to try to figure out why some of
these deviations occur.

But, I have to say:  Sometimes, I just scratch my bald head in disbelief at
what some people will do to flaunt or disobey established rules.

Again, no disrespect meant here.

Yes we are, and that to me gets down to a question of why certain people
feel the rules don't apply to them.

In one of my classes, I'm now dealing with a few students who take just this
attitude, and it makes it difficult for everyone.

The rules exist for a reason, don't they?

Here in the U.S., when you get right down to the rules, aren't we suppose to
use only enough power to reliably communicate?
