Hi Brett

Here are pin outs for 8 pin mic on TS 430s:

pin 1   mic
pin 2   stby
pin 3  down
pin 4 up
pin 5   +8v
pin 6 nc
pin  7  gnd mic
pin 8  gnd connection (stby)

Like you, I don't know what Kenwood rigs may use other pin outs, but the
microphones I have here all work on the  TS 430s, TM 231a,  and TS 2000.
(Yeah I like Kenwood).
