the coax I had and was talking about had a solid center conductor which
was part of the problem and also was the smaller type too. Your choice
is good and glad you had the bends in mind.
come to think of it I need to put my dual band antenna on the wife's
New Yorker tonight but will need to work it under carpet and molding
Yuck. Oh yes, a new connecter too, bnc. Not my choice but just for a
quick trip to the cabin in mountains.
Thank you!

Brett:
the coax with the foam dialectric was the thicker RG8U type, and the
foam
dialectric was one of the reasons why I hesitated to use it for this
installation, even though it was thicker. There will be some bends
we'll
have to work around, which is why I have decided to go with the Belden
RG8X.
Thanks much, and 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
