Tom,

I know you already have money invested   in your talking  wattmeter, but
the LDG TW-1  has 2 different tuning tones.  Hit a button and  tone will
decrease as swr goes down.   When you get to a flat, low pitch, it is 1.0
swr.  Using the other tone for power yu can  tune  to increase the pitch ,
higher the pitch, the more power out.    Runs off 12 vdc and has built in
speaker.   It has made tuning    my Palstar manual tuner a breeze.  Perhaps
it would work in your situation.
