YOu bet, and they were almost bulletproof for receiver
selectivity.  DOwntown Des MOines Iowa used to be hell for
listening to anything because of the intermod, even fm
broadcast reception was difficult.  HOWever the htx-202 and
the 404 were both darned good at that.

fOlks used to ask all the time in the FIdonet ham radio
conferences how to extend the rx on those things.  wE told
them the same thing.  Get a scanner and some duct tape.
Duct tape the radio and the scanner together.
