yes...pretty much identical to the TM V7A or 708 except its PC
programmable....very wide receiver as well from 100 to 999MHZ
continuous...the reason its a bit more radio then ill ever use is because it
has the capability to be directly connected to an APRS unit through the DB9
jack in the back...as well as other various data equipment.
guess that makes it easier for packet and radio data links though.
