Hi Blake,

I have the CC SkyWave radio and though it does not have a speech synth,
it is very easy to use. First, you can enter in the frequency that you
want to move to. Besides having standard A M and FM bands, it has a
weather service band, a shortwave band from 2.3 to 26 MHZ and an
aircraft band. I'm not sure about this, but I think that this radio
might be an SDR radio as it overloads easily with a long antenna. It
sure is very sensative though with just its whip antenna. I would
recommend it and the battery life is about 70 hours on 2 AA batteries.
