Yes indeed this fix solved my immediate problem too. I can now work with the
menu system as I would expect.

As always, however, there is one more minor problem.
When connecting I can arrow down to the station of my choice and connect.  I
should also be able to press control o, type the call sign tab to connect
and press enter.  Unfortunately when I try that method using a call sign
that I know is there, I am told that the station is not available. I have
tried upper and lower case with no change.  I can find what I want with the
up and down arrow keys but the easier way should work too.
