Two sound cards can be a challenge to stability in some machines.  It is 
still handy to have real speech at dos.  You can dig yourself out of trouble 
if windows won't boot.  You can run talking dos and dos programs from the 
desktop.  You can take the extra load off the processor if things get tight.
