I don't notice the digital on my 590 or 990, but I don't have hearing 
aids either.  I do notice it on cell phones and don't like it.  One 
reason I'll never run dmr stuff.  Anyhow, if yours is a later 590, gs I 
think it is called, it has a way to hook up a second receiver to a jack 
in the back.  Frank RoderusIf yours is that type, you could find an 
older solid state receiver or a tub rig and key the microphone on the 
590 to spot your transmitter on the receiver.  Not really sure what to 
recommend.  Write off list if I can help.
