Well all, I got a new toy. I sold my TS-520 back in the summer to a new ham
to get him on the air, reason being, I really wanted a TS-830 anyway. Well,
I was at a ham fest today in NH, and low and behold, what was at the first
table I went to, but a nice shiny TS-830 with a real good price on it. Well,
I was good, I walked around, got stuff for my UHF repeater, ok, I got a
whole repeater for that since the other one needed more work than I wanted
to get in to, and went back and the TS-830 was still there. Since I got the
repeater for a steal price, I'd say it didn't even cover his help loading it
in to my friend's truck, I wheeled and dealed my way in to a great price on
a TS-830 that 3 people tried to buy right out of my hands before I got back
to the truck. They walked right past it I'm sure but missed it somehow. Oh
well, now does anyone have a front panel layout for it? Sadly I can't get it
on the air until mid next week at the earliest but if someone has a control
layout, or at least something I can start with, I'd appreciate it in case I
manage to get it going this weekend but I'd highly doubt it since I"m going
out early tomorrow morning and planning on a very long day, and doing the
same Sunday and I'm way too tired now to think about moving things around.
Besides it's almost supper time and time for something else I have to do
tonight.
