Hi Ron and All,

You beat me to the punch. I was just going to send a message to the group
about this radio. One of my club members was selling his Yeasu 450D for a
price that I couldn't pass up and I needed something for portable operation.
Other than turning it on and him showing me that it works properly I haven't
used it yet. So if anyone has any documentation on this rig could you send
it to me? It looks like a very nice radio and will work well for what I
want to use it for.

73,
Gary, N5GD

Are you all aware of the Yeasu FT-450d transceiver that comes with a voice
module built into it that provides Digital Voice Announcement, e.g. Select
Frequency, Mode, and Meter Reading? Do any of you have this transceiver? If
so, what is your analysis of it? My impression is that it talks many of the
important functions, but not nearly as many as the Kenwood TS-590. However,
it is also much less expensive than the TS-590.
