If ATU stands for "antenna tuning unit", you'd place the bridge between
the transceiver and the ATU.  After all, you aren't really changing
anything viz the antenna; you are just adjusting the matching network
such that the transceiver sees a 50 ohm load as that's what the
transceiver expects.
