Gary,

Not sure what the TM uses, but based on your description, I don't think this 
will  work for the 2000.

For the TS-2000, you need 9 pin female at the radio end, and either 9 or 25 
pin female at the pc end, depending on  what your serial port has.

This is a straight through and not a null modem cable which has a pair of 
wires crossed.
