Hi Buch, have you tried going into the menus and shutting that off?  I
know it means giving up the other beeps that will help you, but I find
this to be a problem as well.  I haven't tried it, since I don't scan all
that much with the THF6A any more, unless I am looking for DCS/PL tones.
I mainly scan now with the BC250D and it is working rather ewll, but you
have to remember what number every menu option is at, and get used to the
new style of trunked radio programming.
        One thing I must say about the THF6A is that the battery lifeiis
great.  It is almost as good as my Motorola Expo, you can wait quite a
while from charge to charge.
