aloha!

while i have received and processed your removal request, i have to take
issue with (a) your posting list management commands to the list (everyone
who is subscribed received a copy of your post, which constitutes
harassment from my point of view) and (b) your characterization of your
subscription to BLIND-DEV as harassment, especially as subscribing to
BLIND-DEV involves a 2-step subscription process, in which the person
requesting a subscription is asked to confirm that request, and their
email address, by responding to email sent by the listserv software...
therefore, it is quite difficult for anyone to add a third party to the
list by spoofing their email address, as they would then have to intercept
the automated confirmation message and reply to it from the spoofed email
address... moreover, as a subscriber, you have a responsibility to read,
preserve, and consult the list's introductory emessage, which you received
upon receipt of your reply to the automated confirmation request, in which
it is clearly and repeatedly stated that ANY and ALL list management
requests should be sent to the list management eddress:

        <[log in to unmask]>

the golden rules of participation in any online forum are:

1. follow list rules (this means, keep the welcome message and refer to it
or email the listowner if you have any questions)

2. do NOT, under any circumstances, post list management requests (such as
remove, subscribe, settings changes, etc.) to the list itself

3. if you want to complain about the list, email the listowner directly,
using the generic eddress:
        [log in to unmask]
which, in the case of BLIND-DEV, translates as:
        [log in to unmask]

4. if you are subscribing to a list from a shared emailbox (that is, a
single email account shared by multiple individuals), please let those who
share your account know that you have subscribed to a list, so that they
are (a) prepared to deal with your listmail (optimally, by leaving it
alone and not treating it as spam), and (b) won't terminate your
subscription without your knowledge or consent

thank you for your patience and continued participation,
gregory j. rosmaita, co-listowner, BLIND-DEV
