The axslib-l list is honored to have Axel Schmetzke
from the library at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point serving us
as the moderator of this discussion list.

Axel is making a mark on the world of libraries and accessibility for
consumers with disabilities. He has done detailed, thorough statistical
surveys of library web pages, library school web pages as well as pages
related to major distance learning institutions. People on this list will
not be surprised to know that sad state of most such web pages. Axel has
become a national leader inadvocating for libraries to fully serve this
consumer population. Please write him with information to help his work or
post information on this list. We have the most active discussion list
devoted to this topic. Spread the word about axslib-l to your friends and
make it a forum for change.
