Another alternative since you mentioned that you can get a display on the
monitor and depending on your OS, if either Windows 9.x and Windows 2000,
use the Windows Update feature in addition to the above info.  It can be
argued whether or not this method will work in that this feature generally
will "only" update Windows app/system files but it may be worth a try. HTH.
