I would suggest updating the Drivers to the latest one's listed on the ATI
site, at http://www.atitech.com, this should correct any video problems with
games. Also download the latest version of Directx, which you can find a link
to it as well from the ATI site.
The Alert in device manager would be for an Add-on TV tuner card. The BT829
(BrookTree) chip is a video capture for the ATI tuner, and neither Microsoft,
or ATI supported this chip in Win98. To use this Tuner, you need to download
the player software from the ATI site as well, and just disable the profile in
the device manager, since the card uses the drivers from ATI to operate.
Remember, that you need the Player listed at the ATI site, that corresponds to
the Video card driver, as they work together.
