Similar occurrance here, and it surprised me somewhat.
Yesterday I needed a snack, and the only thing
available even remotely paleo to me were peanuts. I
tolerate them OK, so I went to the machine to get
them. When I arrived, the only think "peanut" left was
a package of peanut M&M's. I thought, "Oh well, a
little deviation can't hurt". Well, about an hour
after eating them, I suddenly started sneezing like
crazy! It lasted well into the wee hours this morning.
I was surprised because I haven't experienced a
sneezing fit like that in a long, long time. And,
although anecdotal, it sure seemed like it was the
chocolate that must have caused it, especially
considering I haven't had chocolate in a long time.
