Similar studies have been conducted on dogs and cats with homeopathy, and
on horses and dogs with acupuncture. They Naysayers who thought it was a
placebo effect which created improvements with homeopathy (or acupuncture)
have had no explanation for the improvements.

Perhaps the problem was the the Naysayers just didn't know how to explain
how the modality (be it homeopathy or acupuncture) worked or works. SO they
just poo-poo'd it!
