I'm no expert on historic cars.  I know laminated glass is the current direction in automotive windshields, and that in the 1970s-1980s tempered glass was it.  I didn't realise that laminated glass was used before that ... all my memories are of windshields that broke into fragments when hit by stones on long country drives in the late 1960s.
