I can understand your confusion from the info "posted" on their web site
<g>. The info about whether or not it can be done is "non-existent" IMHO.
The haze grey area about "K6 and higher" leaves room for
doubt/interpretation (unless you own one of these mobo's). OTOH, on other
newsgroups that I have read, other users "attempting" to upgrade this mobo
to a K6 III chip all seem to be very unhappy and report a number of
problems. I would recommend either of two things:
(1) emailing their tech support staff and specifically ask them whether the
mobo is upgradable or
(2) wait to see if one of the other list members has this specific mobo,
and he/she will pls post their experience(s) with upgrading it to a K6 III
CPU. Otherwise, the reviews on this board are outstanding. HTH. :-)
