Use only nuts in the shell. Seems to be the way a cave man would have eaten
nuts don't you think?

yes , lot of peoples are questionning nuts as a healthy food because they
relie on commercials nuts which are almost allways denatured ( from the
least like dried at high temperatures to fry in oil ). Nuts in general have
a shell meant to protect the oily meat from oxygene which have the capacity
to make oils rancid. Shelled nuts sold in the commerce are allways rancid ,
often not even from the previous harvest. Bleached shell make them porous
and with time get rancid too, more slowly than shelled ones.
Once you have the chance to test a freshly harvested nut , cured in a
naturel way, you will know the difference. I am harvesting filberts right
now , and it is so good that every year it is a new discovery, soon it will
be time for walnuts, i don't wash them so the shell get protected and sealed
by the dye from the husk, not pretty by commercial standard but efficient at
keeping the nut weel protected.
