in temperate climate ,from end of winter to beginning of summer for some
species ( swallows come late here, but hummingbird are here end of
february). in the tropic may be it is year round depending on species?

>Also, even though they're not paleo, when would grains be available?
fresh grains occur at the end of summer here in canada ( short season before
they dry and become inedible to humans as such).
Eating in season is such a joy , a reminder of the diversity of , and the
fugitive connections with , our food sources . ( what have been selected to
be in store are mostly what have some perennial caracteriscs in it , the
things that can be shiped, stored , processed or packaged, )
