I'm tooting my own horn here...

I listen to a healthfood/alternative medicine doctor on Sunday mornings, Dr.
Bob Martin. Usually I enjoy him, but this morning he reported test results
that
I immediately saw through. He said that lab animals fed lard in their diet had
all kinds of health problems, but when fed some soybean product, they were
fine. The doctor did go on to recommend fish.

But kudos to me, because as soon as I heard the first part of his report, I
immediately--I mean *immediately* thought: since when is "lard" part of a
normal mouse's diet, huh? No wonder they go sick! A little later in the report
he did say "lab rats" were the test animals, which just confirmed my thinking.
I bet rats and mice eat bugs, but I've never heard of any dining regularly on
cow or pig...
