Several years ago I read a book called Beyond Pritikin. The author stated
that with an ultra-low-fat diet, the last 5 lbs. simply wouldn't come off,
so she started to recommend adding 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil per day,
and the fat loss started again. Evidently, if the body doesn't get some fat,
it will try to retain those last few lbs.
