Are there any side effects?

While I'm sure there must be a joke in there somewhere, perhaps regarding
hardness except when exposed to large doses of cold water, the potentially
serious long-term effects are not yet apparent. But let's face it, dust is
dust and if it's the right size dust, some effect is to be expected.

Immediate effects: Walk around every day in a gypsum factory for a while
and even 21-year young feet will dry out and develop nasty cracks, as will
hands and any other exposed skin. It's really nasty if you get a bunch of
it in your eye. I also got pneumonia while working there, but the Company's
doctor swore it had nothing to do with all the nasty crap I was breathing
in every day.
