>Hi Chester,

Sarah is now 12 & has worn AFO's since she was 2. They are not a problem.
They have a soft flapper toe area-so they are trimmed fairly close to the
size of her foot. When we get new ones- It is hard to find those perfect
sneakers--but we were given som e hints long ago. We buy soft toe running
sneakers-We found Nikes work great! Gut them--pullout the innersole- arch
wedge etc. This gives you a little more room & depth--And you don't need
them- the orthotic is doing all of that. Plus it will slide in better.
Sometimes the back of the heel slips in when new-till broken in--but I use a
crochet hook- small size to pull it out if it is a problem. Works well
for us--Sarah prefers to wear hers as she is so used to the support.. Joy
