A big welcome to John.

First difference between BP and that other list. We have archives! If you go to the website http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/CGI/wa.exe?A0=bullamanka-pinheads&D=&F=&H=&O=&S=&T= you will be at the archives. Search for the word 'leaftime' and you will find a number of threads, all with different explanations!

Like your trivia word of the day, even if I do not know what it means. Perhaps you could send us a sentence with the word in use?

We run a "word of the week" in our office, where the aim is to use the unusual word, in context, in a piece of project correspondence. Things got a bit out of hand one week, when we had four running simultaneously, and clients started getting bombarded with missives talking about "the need to obviate a plethora of confabulating on this project" ... or a request to a supplier to provide 'irrefrangible' materials on the project.

Cheers

david
