I've had the Explorer version for four months and think it's the best
mouse I've ever used. However, there are a couple of problems I have run
into. One is that I couldn't get the PS/2 adapter to work on my laptop
and had to use the main cable USB connector. Since I only have one USB
port on my laptop that limits any other devices without buying a hub.
Also I have noticed that when I boot into Safe Mode the USB mouse is not
detected (bummer). Another problem is it goes to sleep when not used for
a few minutes and requires a two to three second wakeup period. Also it
doesn't work on a metal table top or any shiny reflective surface.
Sounds like a lot of negatives until you actually use one and get used
to having such awesome control over the cursor. I can use it on my pant
leg as good as any regular mouse on a mousepad. On a hard flat surface
the control is outstanding and no mouse pad is necessary (in fact works
better without a pad especially the cloth pads as it has more drag
friction on cloth).
