The sad fact of the matter is that just about the only possible
commodity that the East Timorese have to offer the US, for export in
trade, is a potential pool of NYC cabbies. So what do we really care..
While we continue to spend billions of dollars on high tech/pork barrel
hardware the only force that will work in East Timor is a man on the
ground with a rifle.
Were we to send our men w/ rifles against Indonesian men w/ rifles we
will lose some of our men live on CNN.
Some how we've forgotten that what soldiers [& Littleton SWAT Teams]
are paid for is to go out- not to come back.
