Its not exately that, Erik. I think that fasting is very helpful
in infections, but i described using a powerful antibiotic herb
(the always green bear-grape).
The herbal antibioticum doesn't work in an acid environment.
So basic-gererating food must be used during the usage
(or fasting may help).
As a rule of thumb *all* vegetables and fruit
(except Brussel sprouts, unripe tomatoes and probably other unripe)
are generating basic environment, whereas all heavy protein donators
like meats, grains, nuts are acid-generating.

Btw: The advice of a rapid changing pH environment from acid to basic
is from Dr.med Bianci (a book author >25years ago) who's advices
and natural approaches are IMO very up to date, today even more.
Alternating ph should be tried if fasting or simply basic nutrition
wouldn't work, against any infections.
regards
Amadeus
