         You are very correct it is PTDS - Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
It is the result of an very traumatic incident or exposure to great tragedy
and suffering. It is found among Veterans, emergency and disaster workers
and survivers of such events or abuse/rape. Flashbacks, nightmares and
depression are what occurs. There are are a number of sites on the internet
that deal with it.
