I think you are putting an awful lot of emphasis on the ability of one's
diet to affect social change. There are some connections, but not quite as
many as you seem to think.

In my opinion, making friends is MUCH more important than eating meat or
not eating it, if you want to make the world a better place. And figuring
out how to get rid of your own and everyone else's greediness.

If you are REALLY, genuinely, interested in affecting social change, (and
not just playing at it like a dilettante, because it's the fashionable
thing to do, or to find busy-work so that you can pretend like you're doing
something and not have to face reality), but if you are actually interested
in making a difference, then figure out
1) How to become extremely popular, loved and respected, and then,
2) Figure out how to get rid of all traces of greed from people's minds.

and don't worry about what you're eating.
