Just wanted to add my two cents to this mercury amalgam debate. Many people
feel fine with fillings in place; the body is great at detoxifying, and
everyone has some Candida albicans, which according to Michael Coyle absorbs
the mercury that leaches into the tissues and keeps the body feeling good.
The problem with fillings comes when one gets dis-ease. If there is candida
overgrowth one can not recover without removing the fillings (according to
Coyle and others); and many develop a surplus of heavy metal toxins because
the lymph, liver, and kidneys are not detoxing efficiently. It's often
worse to remove them if you don't have any problems, because removing them
(according to Joy Wallen, a sound healer) leaches more mercury into the
system and creates a strain on the body. So there is no one answer for
everyone.
One way to get information is to do a live-blood analysis. If you have any
metal toxicity, it will show up, and then you'll know. This is inexpensive
and painless and very informative as you get to see your blood cells on a
video screen.
