I am in the process of doing a fresh install of Windows 95 on a
customer's computer after a crash, and have run into a problem
with the modem.
When windows is starting, it finds the modem and says it is a
"U.S. Robotics Sportster 56000 Winmodem" but I have been unable
to find any drivers that will work.
I have been all over the USR website, and downloaded/tried every
56K winmodem driver I could find, but none have worked. The modem
is an ISA modem.
I installed the modem on my workbench computer running Windows
98, and it identified it as a "3Com Windows Modem TI" and
sucessfully installed the modem.
If I can't find the correct driver to download, can I somehow
copy the files necessare from Windows 98, to the customer's
computer running 95?
