I have run into a number of professional applications....for example
business programs designed to run a medical office or professional legacy
CAD applications......that will not run correctly under 9X until the
manufacturer has supplied a patch for 9x / DOS7. This is particular true of
98. A program may load and even run correctly most of time but certain
operations...particularly when accessing devices will produce errors, Win9X
and Dos 7 handle devices....like modems ...differently then DO6X.
Most of the time this isn't a problem but there are exceptions.

applications. It is all a matter of allocating the memory in your DOS
