I have a PC100 System board (M598ATX) Super Socket 7 runing a AMD K6 II
400Mhz. OS is Windows 98 Ver 4.10,1998. 88MB of Ram and on board video and
sound that came with the board. 40X cdrom and a Leopard win 56K ISA V90 PnP
Modem with a Motorola Chip.
When ever I shut the system down it gets to the " you may turn the system
off screen" AND then reboots. It does not shut down. I thought I didnt have
the buttons in sinc at first but I found I could only shut the system down
the the kill button on the back and had to do it fast when the screen said "
It was safe". I told a friend about it and he asked me if a hade a Motorola
chip in the modem ?? The modem was working great but I removed the modem and
the system worked like it should..Put it back and it stated looping again??
I ended up puting the modem in another system but can anyone tell me why the
56K motorola is making the ATX Loop.
